Crafted weapons & armor in The Elder Scrolls Online are able to be created in different styles. When you first start your crafting career, you'll only have access to your own races style. The good news is you'll eventually have the ability to craft the styles of any other race once you've unlocked them. Unlocking other races crafting styles is done by obtaining Racial Motif books. These books can be obtained like most items & materials in the game, either by loot drops off NPCs or in loot cantainers (chests, desks, etc). Each racially styled weapon or armor is created with the same base materials, with the exception of a style material (a stone or gem) assigned to each race. These style materials can also be found around the game world, or purchased at a vendor for a fairly inexpensive fee. STYLE MATERIALS Adamantite (Altmer) Argentum (Primal) Bone (Bosmer) Copper (Barbaric) Corundum (Nord) Daedra Heart (Daedric) Flint (Argonian) Malachite (Ancient Elf) Manganese (Orc) Molybdenum (Breton) Moonstone (Khajiit) Nickel (Imperial) Obsidian (Dunmer) Starmetal (Redguard) There are a plethora of items to catalogue from The Elder Scrolls Online crafting system. Whilst we would love to eventually share them all with you, it is a massive undertaking to do while the game is still in beta. Here is a sample of some low level crafts you'll be able to get stuck into within the first 15 levels (and with the right Racial Motif) - we'll work on getting more as soon as we can!
