MAGICKA DPS CP2.0 GUIDE

Writer: xGamx
Designer: xGamx
Patch: Blackwood – Gates of Oblivion

Welcome to the Magicka DPS CP2.0 Guide for The Elder Scrolls Online! This general guide aims to teach you the basic path of progression for the new Champion Point system for Magicka DPS. This includes all three of the constellations: Craft, Warfare, and Fitness. Within these constellations, some perks are passive while others need to be slotted to utilize their benefits. Take note that some perks require you to unlock other perks before investing any points in them. The Warfare constellation even has three subtrees with their own focus. Proper progression with this system is very important as some perks are more valuable than others.

The guide will be broken down into three tiers: CP600, CP1200, and a maximum tier for each constellation detailing a “comfortable” CP level. Under each tier, you will also find a recommended path of progression to follow, beginning at CP10. The path to CP600 will focus on gaining access to the most useful perks. While you will not be at your strongest, this is a great start. At CP1200 you will have fully upgraded slotted perks and other important passives. The maximum CP tier for each constellation will include all important perks unlocked and fully upgraded. Any Champion Points gained beyond this tier should be considered extra or flex CP, allowing you to invest in other slotted perks for situational use. Be sure to read this guide in its entirety and bookmark the page as it will be updated to future patches.

Craft Constellation

The Craft constellation largely focuses on loot gains from a variety of sources and does not offer many combat benefits. Despite this, there are two slotted perks to keep in mind when you enter Dungeon, Trial, and Arena content. These perks are called Rationer and Liquid Efficiency, which can be unlocked and fully upgraded rather early. In this section of the Magicka DPS CP2.0 Guide, you will find an optimal setup for CP600 only. Beyond CP600, you may spend any additional Champion Points in the Craft constellation to utilize any passives or slotted perks that interest you.

Warfare Constellation

The Warfare constellation focuses on increasing your damage, resistance, and healing. The progression path here will be configured to unlock offensive perks first and defensive perks last. There is something unique about the Warfare constellation, being that it also has three subtrees that you can access by clicking on the large pink stars called Mastered Curation, Extended Might, and Staving Death. Mastered Curation focuses on healing perks, Extended Might focuses on offensive combat, and Staving Death focuses entirely on defensive combat. In this section of the Magicka DPS CP2.0 Guide, you will find an optimal setup for CP600, CP1200, and CP1560. Fitness Constellation

The Fitness constellation focuses on cost reduction for a variety of gameplay mechanics, increased recovery, damage shield effectiveness, and several perks that are based on Crowd Control (CC) immunity.
